Grizzly - Canvas
Meriwether Lewis and William Clark first described it as grisley, which could be interpreted as either "grizzly" (i.e., "grizzled"—that is, with grey-tipped or silver-tipped hair) or "grisly" ("fear-inspiring", now usually "gruesome").
